R&A Engineering has been providing Structural Engineering services in the Okanagan and Kamloops areas for over 45 years. We have also completed projects throughout BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. In addition to our Vernon and Kamloops offices, we have recently opened an office in Creston to better serve our Kootenay clients. Our project list includes public buildings as well as private sector work. We have extensive experience in the design of schools, residential condominiums and commercial projects. Our Principal, Greg Wylie, P.Eng., Struct.Eng., has achieved “Designated Structural Engineer” status also known as “Struct.Eng.”, which enables R&A to design structures in the high seismic areas of Vancouver, and allows the firm to design the newly approved 6-storey wood-frame type of structures.
R&A projects include the new Kal Tire Place phase 2 arena as well as the original arena built in 2001, the $35 million Vernon Secondary School, the $11 million M.V. Beattie Elementary School in Enderby, the new Lexus Dealership in Kelowna, the new Northwood Regency Retirement Resort in Kelowna and a 27,000 sqft luxury home on Okanagan Lake, as well as several other projects. Recent noteworthy projects include the 7-storey St. Paul Condos in Kelowna, the 7-storey Battle Street Condos in Kamloops and the Nissan dealership in Penticton, the Sicamous Municipal Hall, the new Coldstream Elementary School, and the addition to Vernon City Hall. Please scroll through our Project Pages for a more detailed look at our structures.
R&A Engineering enjoys working closely with Design Professionals and Owners to strive to produce buildings in a cost effective, creative manner, while maintaining the architect’s original visions.
R&A Engineering also has a Construction Engineering Division where we provide structural engineering services to Contractors.
